While I understand that in most shops there exists strict separation of designers and developers; it certainly is not that way everywhere.

Frequently, you need to be wearing your front-side and server-side hat. As more employers adopt Silverlight as a RIA delivery vehicle, developers are going to need to deliver flashy widgets.

I have been loving my journey through doing 1.1 stuff, but it has all been trial and error.

I think that it would be advantageous for someone to do a nice video collection for the "designopers" out there; flipping between Visual Studio and Blend both. I mean, I know there are how-to's on silverlight.net right now where they swap between the two environment, but a nice walk-through of a full sample project would be awesome.

Yes, I know you can just watch the designer series and then the developer series but the first time I really heard anyone talk about what it takes to flip between the two was Scott Stanfield of Vertigo speaking on the process of creating Family.Show.

    Just a thought! :)

How about this webcast: "How to improve the MSDN webcast download experience - Microsoft finally takes a user experience 101 course and learns that fewer steps are better".

In other words: I will download these the day you provide a download link directly to the wmv file.

    Do it! ;)

I also dont want to be forced to stream a video when it could be available in a WMV file. Often I like to review something later or stop and start and I dont see why I need to keep downloadiong the same thing time and again.
People will make some sort of Hack to record and redistribute the stream as a single download so why try to force us to view it at your convenience. I wont download or develop either until its available as wmv downloads. Try wining friends.

    Cheers John
